Inspired / Peter Dunham.

Peter Dunham. A House Beautiful regular, the man is good.

Did you see his One Day Makeover? Yea, kind of unbelievable right?

His spaces are always beautiful, never too "done". They're the type of rooms to discover new details every time you enter. And the way he mixes color and print! I bow down.

With an envy-worthy fabric line at his fingertips, textile choices are always spot-on. Fig leaf is a definite fan favorite and I've jumped on the bandwagon here. I love it! Inspiration struck yesterday and I figured out the perfect little spot to fig-ify (anyone have a yard or two to sell??)

Dunham uses it all the time, and I think I should too!

Really this post could continue on quite endlessly. Drool-worthy room after drool-worthy room appear when you search Dunham's work. Easily a favorite designer of mine.

Do you love him too? If so, check out his full line of fabrics and his store, Hollywood at Home. A must-see next time I find myself in LA.

Happy Monday loves!

The Collected Home: Kristen Panitch.

Bryn, of the always fabulous blog Bryn Alexandra Interiors, recently mentioned her client's love (and her own) of Kristen Panitch. I couldn't help but agree. Ever since I first became familiar with her work a little over a year ago (thanks to that memorable spread in House Beautiful) I've been a devoted fan. Her projects always look finished, but never too fussy. They have a collected over time feel most designers die to create. And the way she mixes and matches patterns is fierce. Take notes, I think we all have something to learn from Ms. Panitch!

Here are some of my favorites, but be sure to check out her entire body of work. Her portfolio leaves me drooling.

Loving the industrial lighting, and especially the two adjustable arm sconces.

Blue and white ticking with cognac leather. Yum!

Quite a few different patterns going on here, but they combine for one cohesive look.

Espresso stained floors? Oriental rug? Graphic wallpaper? Yes! Yes! Yes!

The perfectly cozy corner.

Notice that although there are many patterns, and some very intricate ones at that, the color palette is all fairly muted. This subtle mix keeps things interesting without clashing.
Loving everything about this picture. Don't even know where to begin. Perfect for any little man child in your life.

Can I move in? Like, really...

White is a common element in most every space Panitch designs. This gives the eye a place to rest when it needs a break from the pattern.
It also acts as a cohesive element to tie rooms together.
A similar mix of pillows might grant my white sectional a second lease on life.

I bet the little boy who lives here is excited to go to sleep at night!

Mother Nature take a hint. This picture is too lovely for words.

Kristen Panitch. Pretty amazing, no?
